SA Lock secures alliance with Squire

A new partnership will see Squire’s world-beating range of security locks being distributed across South Africa and Africa by SA Lock Trading.

Squire’s premium range of extra high security Stronghold® security padlocks, padbars, chains, lock and chain sets and keysafes is now exclusively available from SA Lock.

The super-tough Stronghold® padlock range comes in many sizes and shackle variants, and includes solid hardened steel lock body, electrophoretic anti-corrosion finish, hardened boron alloy steel shackle, anti-drill protection and high corrosion resistance for harsh environments.

Squire’s super-hero, dual cylinder SS100 is recognised as the world’s strongest production padlock.  It is internationally recognised as the only padlock ever to achieve the The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) SR4 standard, the highest rating.

Made in Britain, Squire’s SS100 padlock is designed for commercial premises where extra high security is a priority – for example, perimeter gates, warehouses, outbuildings, shipping containers, heavy machinery and commercial vehicles.

The SS100CS (closed shackle version) features a mega 4.3kg solid steel lock body that is capable of a tensile pull of over 24 tonnes (independently tested) – equivalent to taking the weight of two London double decker buses.

Designed, engineered and made in Britain, it is unrivalled in strength and durability.

The two highly respected independent family owned businesses are both recognised for innovative, niche products of the highest quality and their longevity at the forefront of the security industry.

Premium British lock manufacturer Squire has a proud 240-year history as a global market leader in the development of security products.

SA Lock has been long established as a leading major locksmith supply merchant servicing the South African and African markets.  And a proud reseller of a comprehensive, sturdy range of keys, locks and associated hardware.

CEO John Squire explained the two companies’ share important common values.

He said: “Alongside our proud traditions, we are forward-thinking companies which have cultivated strong partnerships and inspired confidence in both our customers and dealers.

“We are delighted to join forces with SA Lock and see this partnership as a great positive for our security portfolio.

“It is extremely important that we share the same goals and enthusiasm, and we have the ability to provide locksmiths with a first-class service and distribution network.

“Similarly, we share the same forward-thinking approach and commitment to developing technological advanced security products.  We look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

SA Lock director Robert Savitz said: “Our collaboration with Squire is a testament to the importance we attach to the highest quality security solutions, excellent service and taking care of our customers.

“It means the large network of locksmiths we supply now have the opportunity to buy the very latest security from Squire.”

Toughness guaranteed

The Squire name has been at the forefront of lock making since 1780, with a great British history carried down through eight generations.

The historic company is recognised for some of the most technologically advanced lock designs on the market for home, commercial and two-wheel security – cylinders, padlocks, combination locks, multi-purpose lock and chain sets, security cables, bolts, hasps and staples, and security accessories.

Its range of top security products are tested to global security and fire safety standards to ensure the finest tolerances, reliability and outstanding performance.  As a mark of the quality standards Squire sets, products carry a variety of accreditations including the police.

And the company stands by its reputation for long-lasting toughness by offering a personal ‘no-quibble’ 10-year guarantee from John Squire on all mechanical padlocks.

Today, Squire is probably the world’s most experienced lock maker.
